Gauvain Gamon is a New York City based Award Winner bassist born in Lyon, France. He graduated from the “Conservatoire National de Lyon” and the “E.N.M de Villeurbanne”.
After living in Lyon and Berlin, he moved to New York City in 2017 and quickly became one of the most sought-after bassists on the current jazz scene where he is renown for his unfailing sense of swing and groove, his warm sound and powerful organic playing.
Throughout his career, Gauvain Gamon has performed at some of the world’s most reputable music venues and festivals including Smalls Jazz Club, Blue Note Jazz Club, Jazz a Vienne, Sunset/Sunside Jazz Club Paris, The Opera de Lyon, Zig Zag Jazz Club Berlin, to name a few.
Most notably, he has collaborated with some of the most recognizable celebrities and jazz figures including Alicia Keys, Ed Cherry, Davis Whitfield, Stacy Dillard, Cody Moffett, Roger Rocha (Four Non Blondes), Anne Sila.
