Gauvain Gamon, a distinguished bassist hailing from Lyon, France, has established himself as a prominent figure in the vibrant music scene of New York City. Graduating from the prestigious “Conservatoire National de Lyon”, Gauvain further honed his craft under the tutelage of the legendary bassist Ron Carter.

Upon his relocation to New York City, Gauvain swiftly garnered acclaim for his sense of swing and groove, characterized by an unmatched warm tone and powerful, organic playing with an ability to seamlessly adapt to various musical contexts. His unwavering commitment to artistic excellence on the bandstand has positioned him as a highly sought-after musician in the industry.

Gauvain Gamon’s illustrious career has seen him grace some of the world’s most renowned music venues and festivals, where he played pivotal roles in distinguished productions. These include iconic establishments such as Smalls Jazz Club, Dizzy’s Club, Blue Note Jazz Club, 55 Bar NYC, and WNYC New York Public Radio.
